The last time we hosted my best friend at our house in Dubai, it turned out to be a disaster. This is a ditto feeling I have in my head in reference to another of my classmates from Dublin. Even though, she and I are not as close but yet she sent me an email followed by a call.
From what I could gather, she's flying into town presumably in search of a job. So, as a friend, I'm supposed to let her stay at our place for a while. I wonder what's a 'while' in today's age? Is it a few days, few weeks or months on forever?
We have no problem hosting any one at our house, as we've done that in the past few times. Friends have come and stayed for a few days, some of them have gone beyond in maintaining a strict discipline and etiquette while some, as my other half says best in French were just 'au contraire'.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, I can never bring myself to say no to people and this is exactly what drives me mad. They come, they stay, and they make a mess. I won't say they violate our privacy because I've brought that upon ourselves when I said yes to their request.
I wonder what's next in store for me when another one of my friends lands in town one of these days and moves in to our house. Will this be another accumulation of messes I've got myself into just because I've somehow lost my ability to say 'No'?
I guess time alone will tell.

So far no plans for Port Louis yet although we were there in May. But just in case we do get an idea for the mentioned date, will drop you a note to set up a get together.
Hi,careful, a "while" could be months.Do you know how hard it is to find a job in Dubai with all the competitions around?! Well, my brother did the same and we did not live alone,we also had roomates, he ended up staying more than a month living on our couch on the playstation at night and in bed in the daytime! What a nightmare it was!
